TermBase is a crowdsourcing platform that brings together speakers and practitioners of African languages to share new and emerging terminology in our society across all domains, documenting their meanings and real-world usage.
Building on Swahiliverse, our pioneering language initiative and parent community organization, TermBase aims to foster collaboration among linguists, translators, interpreters, researchers, technologists, and everyday speakers to expand African-language vocabulary and make linguistic knowledge more accessible.
We believe our languages grow when we contribute to them collectively.
